Appointments

Non-urgent advice: How to Make an Appointment

Appointments may be booked in several ways:

Online

Patients can book appointments up to 4 weeks in advance using online services.

By Phone

Patients can book an appointment by calling reception on 0207 938 1887.

In Person

Patients can visit the surgery and book an appointment with the receptionist.

Non-urgent advice: On the day (Urgent only)

Every day at 8.00am a limited number of telephone appointments become available, enabling you to speak to our doctors quickly if that needed. During the consultation, the GP or Physicians Associate will make a decision whether yours is an issue that could be dealt with over the phone or if you need to be seen in our practice. If the latter is the case, they will book an appointment for you to be seen either by themselves at our Practice or GP at one of the Hubs.

At such short notice there is much less flexibility over the time of the appointment and choice of clinician.

Non-urgent advice: How to Cancel an Appointment

If you are unable to attend your appointment for any reason, or the health problem for which you booked your appointment has cleared up, please remember to cancel your appointment.  Even cancelling your appointment with 10 minutes’ notice will enable us to see other patients in need.

We have a large number of people who do not attend their appointments every single week leading to wasted doctor and nurse time, leading to delays in you being able to get an appointment.

You can use our online system, call us on 0207 938 1887 or come in and speak to Reception.

On average there are 60 missed appointments per month.

Please let us know well in advance if you cannot make your appointment so that it may be allocated to another patient.

Evening & Weekend Availability

Home Practice Extended Hours

This surgery is part of the West London GP Federation, a group of practices in the local area that work together to provide evening and weekend appointments.

You must be registered with a member practice, such as this one to access these services.

Evening & Weekend Availability

The practice is part of the West London GP Federation meaning our patients have access to GP led services (this will not be your usual GP) via the Extended Hours Hubs for acute problems only.

This excludes:

  • Long-term, ongoing conditions, for example diabetes, asthma, etc.
  • Referrals to hospitals and other services
  • Investigations including blood test, x-rays, scans
  • Repeat prescriptions

Appointments are available Monday – Friday from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm and during weekends. To access appointments from this service, call your normal surgery and request an Extended Hours appointment.

The Federation operates extended hours services from two hubs located:

  • St Charles Centre for Health and Wellbeing, Exmoor St, London W10 6DZ
  • Violet Melchett Health Centre, 30 Flood Walk, Chelsea, London SW3 5RR

Home Visits

It is clinically better for you to be seen at the surgery where we have better facilities, diagnostic aids and lighting to assess you.

Home visits are for housebound patients and for those too ill to attend the surgery. Home visits are not for those who do not have transport.

If you need a home visit please contact the surgery before 11:00 and give one of our receptionists details to enable the doctor to judge whether a home visit is appropriate and the urgency of your needs. Home visits will be directed to your own GP where possible.
